Romance is always somewhere in the air in beautiful France.

I was thrilled to return to the Four Seasons Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat—a gorgeous location overlooking crystal clear water. Each sunset here is to die for. So many of us have fantasized about running away with our handsome prince and eloping in an enchanting and intimate getaway.

Renée and Gary lived this wonderful dream for their wedding, and I was honored to be their Destination Wedding Photographer to capture these special moments.

Renée and Gary are the sweetest and kindest couple from the United States. They decided to elope, just the two of them, in the South of France just outside of Nice. I knew many secret locations to capture the most memorable photos. Thanks to the help of the wonderful staff and planner at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, they were able to plan the most stylish, elegant, and yet relaxed elopement. There was a pure beauty in just the two getting married in such a romantic location.

A perk of being a Wedding Photographer at Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat is seeing the great preparations that go into making a wedding magical. The hotel planners arranged an abundance of flowers in the couple’s suite, while Renée was being pampered for the big day in the Spa. Once she was ready, we went downstairs for an intimate first look. Gary was over the moon after seeing his absolutely gorgeous bride-to-be.

Renée wore an elegant Berta mermaid gown with silver accents. The sleeveless, sweetheart neckline made her look like a princess. The couple then hired the nearby Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild for their exclusive, romantic wedding portraits. We had the entire villa all for ourselves—it was magical! It is truly of the most stunning places I have ever seen. It is a dream to be a Wedding Photographer at Villa Ephrussi because the gardens, architecture and art are all pieces to the magical puzzle that every couple dreams of when they think of France.

After their portraits in the villa and in the gardens, we headed back to the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, where the couple freshened up and Gary changed into his evening suit for the wedding ceremony. The wedding ceremony took place at sunset in the terrace of the Belvédère, just in front of the sea. It was wonderful! Renée and Gary said their own, original vows in a romantic setting. We then headed down by the beach for more wedding portraits. As a natural light Wedding Photographer, I was very happy to create more romantic wedding portraits for them as the sun set on this magnificent day.

Renée and Gary enjoyed a private dinner in the outdoor salon with a violinist playing just for them. They shared the cutest little cake for two! It was truly an elegant wedding day for a lovely and well-deserving couple.
