It’s been a while since my last post on one of my favourite sections of the blog, the ‘Romantic Getaways‘. I had too many beautiful destination weddings that I wanted to share with you first. But I know my couples love to travel as much as I do, so here you are some inspiration for your next romantic getaway in Apulia, Italy.
Being a Destination Wedding Photographer is seriously my dream job as I can combine my two greatest passions, photography and of course travelling.
Last August, in between weddings in London, where I’m based, and destination weddings all over Europe, I managed to find a week for my husband and I to take some time off and go on a romantic getaway.
I absolutely love the Apulia region in the South of Italy (also known as Puglia in Italian) and we thought this would be the perfect region for a few relaxing days of pure bliss, amazing Italian food and crystal clear beaches, far from our hectic London life.
Apulia is undoubtedly one of my favourite Italian regions that I always recommend to my clients wishing to plan their Destination Wedding in Italy in a laidback, authentic and still quite undiscovered region.
We stayed at the amazing traditional Masseria Fulcignano, a beautiful gem located in Galatone and this was a great location for us to discover the southern part of the region. The architecture of the Masseria is characterized by the presence of antique fireplaces, boulder wooden ceilings, barrel vaults, big walls, imposing stone walls and antique olive trees which are the setting for a perfect combination of elegance and rusticity.
We took day trips to Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli and visited the best beaches the Salento has to offer. Our favourites were Torre Lapillo and the Maldive del Salento. The best part though was coming back to the Masseria in the evening, relax in their swimming pool surrounded by olive trees with a spritz on our hand. Proper Italian style :)
At Masseria Fulcignano they also organise weddings and you can take a look at their wedding blog here. It would be such a dream for me to come back here and work as an Apulia Wedding Photographer :)
You can see some of my favourite photos from our stay at Masseria Fulcignano below, I can’t wait to travel back soon for some romantic and intimate weddings. If you need any tips on where to go, please do get in touch. I’d love to help you :)
I travel to Italy countless times every year to work as a Destination Wedding Photographer, if you’re still looking for your Wedding Photographer in Apulia then do get in touch. I’d be thrilled to chat with you about your wedding day in Apulia.
And to stay up-to-date with my work, you’ll also find me on Facebook and on my fave platform Instagram
