I can’t tell you how excited I am for today’s blog post because it features so much beautiful bridal inspiration; I don’t really know where to start. However, if super romantic locations, dreamy floral crowns and exquisite wedding dresses are your thing, then you’re going to love what’s coming…
I’m thrilled to bring you the second installment of An Italian Spring, a wedding inspiration shoot in the Marche region of Italy. The first post, featuring the bridal preparations, can be found here but today, we move on and head outside into the stunning grounds of the wonderful Urbino Resort in Marche. This as yet unspoilt area of Italy is a destination wedding photographer’s dream and the organic, rustic and natural beauty of this delightful region inspired this shoot.
The Urbino Resort would make a spectacular location for a destination wedding and, as you can see, there are so many fantastic locations for photographs! I just adore those outside steps, covered walkways and climbing plants and vines. There’s certainly a touch of Romeo and Juliet romance in the air!
So, let’s imagine that our beautiful bride is making her way from her bridal suite following her preparations to her wedding ceremony. She’s dressed in her fabulous gown by Marianna Lanzilli and is wearing her delicate Hermione Harbutt May Blossom hairpins. The floral and botanical design elements on both are totally in keeping with the location and the organic look of the whole shoot.
As our bride sits for a moment in the shade, we can take another look at that spectacular, deconstructed bouquet by ISA Events. Again, the wild, natural look fits the brief perfectly and those exuberant peonies add a touch of brightness. Using local flowers is always a great idea at destination weddings and bouquets and buttonholes created from locally sourced blooms are always so effective.
I do think that our bride’s hair and make-up is also perfect for a destination wedding. It’s elegant and flawless without being heavy or overpowering in such a rustic setting. I do love that natural side plait, as it seems to fit so well with the organic, botanical elements of the venue and also of the gown and accessories. Bravo Mirko Mazz for creating such an effortless bridal look.
However, as our beautiful bride wanders further along pretty paths and through charming gardens, she’s inspired by nature and shakes out her hair for a wild, undone look. Taking yet more inspiration from the surroundings, we add a heavenly floral crown from ISA Events featuring peach roses, white marguerites, anemones and wisteria with grey leaves of wormwood. It’s absolutely enchanting.
As the Marche is such a rural region, as yet untouched by out of character developments, there are still surprises around every corner and our bride finds one for herself too – a gorgeous horse all dressed up and keen to be a part of the day!
I do hope you’ve enjoyed this second part of the shoot and I promise you that part three (coming soon!) features an altogether different look that’s still super perfect for a destination wedding – can you guess what it might be?
