I can’t tell you how excited I am to be back with you and I have so many gorgeous weddings to share with you over the coming weeks and months.

I’m going to start with a look back to Mabel and Adam’s stunning destination wedding at Villa Erba in Lake Como. Working as a Lake Como wedding photographer is a treat at any time but, as you’re about to see, this wedding really was a dream.

Mabel and Adam are an absolutely fantastic couple. They live in Canada but chose Lake Como for their destination wedding and it’s easy to see why this Italian location has become so incredibly popular for weddings. Mabel and Adam shared their day with 65 of their closest friends and family who jetted in from the US, Canada and even China to be part of the celebrations.

I love working as a wedding photographer in Italy and Mabel and Adam’s day was planned to perfection by The Lake Como Wedding Planner. Everything was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. The idyllic Villa Erba looked at its best in the sunshine and everyone was able to make the most of this fabulous setting.

Mabel’s bridal preparations took place at Villa Erba and her spacious suite was an amazing backdrop for photos. The wonderful Angie di Battista created Mabel’s immaculate bridal look and as CEO and Founder of Velour Lashes, Mabel’s own lashes couldn’t have looked any better. This classically elegant bridal look was truly flawless.

Mabel wore two jaw-droppingly beautiful dresses on her big day and this Lake Como wedding photographer was in designer heaven! With a Reem Acra strapless gown for the day and a sensational Berta dress for the evening reception, Mabel looked amazing throughout the day. Adam and his groomsmen opted for super sharp black-tie style and this worked so well with the glamorous styling of the day.

The couple’s ceremony took place by the water’s edge in the gardens of Villa Erba and the flowers that surrounded them as they took their vows were exquisite. The huge floral arch framed the newlyweds so well and it also provided an amazing backdrop for family photos.

I have to mention the ceremony’s V.I.P. although you’ve probably already noticed him in the photos. Mabel and Adam’s adorable hound, Big Al, was ring bearer for his humans and he flew over with the couple from Canada for the wedding. Absolutely everyone fell in love with Big Al and he loved posing for photos too!

Mabel and Adam’s wedding reception took place inside the villa and it was such a stylish occasion. I loved the dark stationery by Avenue Litho and the superb tableware from Tableset Rentals created a really luxurious look in the opulent dining room.

As a wedding photographer in Italy, I know that everyone loves a party and Mabel and Adam were no exception. The dancefloor was full all night long and every single guest celebrated with the couple in fine style with music and lighting provided by Blunotte! The standard for the evening was set from the moment that Mabel and Adam started their first dance, which would have scored a 10 from any judge. In fact, the whole day was a triumph and it was a joy to be Mabel and Adam’s Lake Como wedding photographer.
