Today I’ve got a wonderful treat for you. Put down everything you’re doing and let me whisk you off to Lake Garda in Italy. If that wasn’t enough, we’re heading to one of the most gorgeous and luxe wedding venues in Italy. This destination wedding in Isola del Garda makes this Italian wedding photographer very happy indeed. I hope this feature makes you smile too.

 

From the moment I first spoke to Angela the bride, we absolutely connected. Angela wrote to me explaining that she wanted her Lake Garda wedding to be full of Old Hollywood glamour. In her words it was to be ‘classic because that never goes out of style’. How right she was.

 

Working as a Lake Garda wedding photographer is always an honour but with such a super sweet couple as Angela and Roman, it was pure joy. Roman is a real gentleman and he wrote Angela a card that was delivered with chocolates during her bridal preparations at Grand Hotel Fasano. Angela’s reaction said it all!

 

I also adored Angela’s bridal style. Her Pronovias wedding dress suited her perfectly and those Louboutin wedding shoes were just amazing. Hair stylist Davide Cichello and makeup artist Marcela Bantea totally captured Angela’s natural beauty and made the bridal preparation photography so much fun.

 

Angela and Roman’s Italian destination wedding in Isola del Garda proves that the weather never ruins weddings! Despite planning an outdoor ceremony and reception, everything had to be moved indoors because of heavy rain. However, this didn’t affect the atmosphere one bit. Roman’s reaction when he saw Angela for the first time completely brightened the day!

 

We did manage to get outside for some super romantic couples portraits. Angela and Roman were so much fun and we had a great time together. I will remember the view across Lake Garda forever – a highlight for any wedding photographer in Italy.

 

I’ll also remember Angela’s wonderful bridesmaids. They didn’t stop smiling and I just loved their shimmering dresses. Angela obviously loved her maids and had planned lots of little treats for them throughout the day. As you can imagine, they were all on the dancefloor together in the evening!

 

The evening reception itself started with a fabulous dinner. The golden tones of the cutlery and flatware looked lovely alongside the little candles and the classically elegant tablecentres that were packed with blowsy blooms.

 

Set against this elegance was the entertainment and it was spectacular! Circus style artists appeared with brilliant costumes that included lots of light-up elements. All the guests loved this!

 

Then, it was time to hit the dancefloor and really celebrate. I have to admit that I ended my day as a Lake Garda wedding photographer on the dancefloor with Angela, Roman and their fantastic guests.
